” I would be more than happy to give any information that will help in deterring people from buying puppies from Little Rascals. However, my story is a little different.
I did not buy our Beagle puppy direct from Little Rascals. I bought her from a lady who had purchased her from Little Rascals less than two weeks previously because she was unable to give her puppy the time and attention needed due to personal circumstances.
I bought her from the lady but as soon as we got the puppy home we noticed a nasty rattle sound in her chest and took her to our vets to register her and get a fully puppy check. They prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection.
Molly did not respond to the antibiotics and five days later, whilst still on the medication, she became very ill. We took her back to the vets and they were very concerned and suggested X-rays under a general anaesthetic. We left Molly with them, and that was the last time we saw her.
During the time she was undergoing the tests I contacted the vets who were named on her health card, Lincs Veterinary Services (this turned out to be Little Rascals own vet who subsequently informed them of my call). I was hoping they could give me some information that might have assisted my vets in their investigations to find out what was wrong with Molly.
Little Rascals’ vet stated the puppy was fit and well the last time they examined her. My own vets then called to say that Molly was so poorly the kindest thing would be to have her put to sleep whilst still under the anaesthetic, her lungs were so badly damaged due to severe infection and were barely functioning. As you can imagine we were heartbroken. We only had Molly for nine days.
I contacted Little Rascals to inform them. I didn’t know who they were and had never had direct contact or dealings with them before. Assuming they were responsible breeders and would want to know if there were problems with any of their dogs, I wanted to make them aware in case any other puppies from Molly’s litter were poorly.
The man I spoke to turned out to be Edward Swindells although at the time he called himself Billy Bloggs, and later called himself Mr Cirpaci.
Edward Swindells was already aware of me via his vets and as soon as I mentioned my name I was met with a tirade of abuse accusing me of killing my puppy, buying a puppy second hand in an attempt to get one cheaper (we actually paid more for Molly than what the lady had paid for her). He accused me of being a money grabber looking to line my pockets with compensation.
This man actually reduced me to tears and I had to end the call. When I called back, he refused to speak to me again, and Bridgett Dickens blamed ‘Mr Cirpaci’ for the call saying he was leaving the company. They later admitted it was Edward Swindells all along.
I have since read the numerous reviews and reports on Little Rascals and I am outraged that they continue to get away with this. I have also been contacted by other people who have bought puppies subsequent to us losing Molly. These puppies were also poorly and their owners contacted me to ask the symptoms of Molly to help in getting their puppies the best possible treatment.
Although I did not buy direct from them, this was still a Little Rascals puppy that was clearly originally sold weak and sick.
They threatened me with the Police saying I was harassing them and they were going to report me to the RSPCA. Bridgett Dickens said my behaviour was odd and I obviously have something to hide.
I contacted the council and trading standards and they were not interested.
Molly’s date of birth was 28 November 2016. She was originally sold by Little Rascals on 9 February 2017. I bought her from the lady on 24 February 2017.
Molly died on 6 March 2017.

Here is yet another sick puppy that left Little Rascals with a ‘clean bill of health’, and died shortly after.
At the very least the vet attending the puppies should be investigated, and preferably struck off for misconduct.
This sad case has highlighted yet more ‘discrepancies’ relating to Little Rascals’ dealings.
- Molly’s so-called ‘Pedigree‘ (not worth the paper it’s printed on) had a change of ownership on the day she was sold by Little Rascals. Oddly enough the original registered owner is one Kayleigh Wragg, an employee of Little Rascals.
