To be a convincing liar requires a very good memory, something Swindells and Dickens should have perfected by now.
Question: “Can I ask where so many pups come from?”
Little Rascals: “All puppies are now (bred) at our Kennels.”
Little Rascals’ Website: “We are … exporters and importers. The majority of our puppies for sale are bred at our licensed kennels in Lincolnshire. In addition we occasionally import from [unnamed) licensed breeders within the UK…”
Which one is the lie?
- That Little Rascals‘ puppies are now ‘bred‘ at their kennels
- That Little Rascals are ‘importers and exporters‘ of puppies, or
- That Little Rascals Pets Ltd import only ‘within the UK‘ ? (it isn’t possible to ‘import’ within the same country!)
Actually the dead giveaway here is that they do actually ‘import’ in the UK – from Northern Ireland, where puppies often originate from across the border in Southern Ireland. That’s how they get around the ‘no EU Passport required’ and, once a microchip is updated with Little Rascals’ details, an owner is unable to find out the identity of the original breeder/owner of their puppy because data protection prevents disclosure of that information to the public.
Example of UK ‘licensed’ breeders associated with Swindells and Dickens (Little Rascals Pets Ltd):
